RUSSIAN HELICOPTERS AND AGUSTAWESTLAND START BUILDING JOINT CIVIL AW139 FINAL ASSEMBLY LINE PLANT
22 Jun 2010Russian Helicopters (subsidiary of JSC UIC Oboronprom, part of Russian Technologies State Corporation) and AgustaWestland (a Finmeccanica company) are pleased to announce that the set up of a joint civil AW139 medium twin helicopter final assembly plant started with a ground-breaking ceremony, solemnly laying a time capsule in the base of the foundation at the industrial area in Tomilino, near Moscow, during an official ceremony held today and attended by representatives and dignitaries from the partners. Heli-Russia, the first ever dedicated helicopter show to take place in the country, has been the venue for a major deal. 16 May 2008Max Delany After a week of attending a presidential inauguration, a Victory Day parade and a Cabinet reshuffle, Deputy Prime Minister Sergei Ivanov enjoyed a change of pace Thursday, clambering into several state-of-the-art flying machines at a helicopter expo. "The very fact that we are holding this event shows that the government is paying a lot of attention to the helicopter sector," Ivanov said at the opening of the three-day HeliRussia exhibition in northwest Moscow. OPK OBORONPROM TO OPEN A REPRESENTATION IN INDIA
12 Oct 2006Moscow October 12, 2006 - The “Oboronprom” Board of Directors made a decision to have opened its representation office (RO) in India by the end of 2006. India is one of the largest buyers of Russian helicopters and air defence systems. At present the country operates a great deal of helicopters of Soviet and Russian origin. The Mi-8/17, Mi-26, Mi-24/35 are in the inventory list of the Indian Air Force and the Mi-31, Mi-28 are operated by the Indian Navy. Read more »
THE KAZAN HELICOPTER PLANT INCREASED ITS REVENUE IN Q1, 2006
17 Aug 2006The “Kazan Helicopter Plant” increased its revenue from RUR 3.15 bln in Q1, 2005 to RUR 4.07 bln for the same period of 2006, as the company quarterly report reads. The gross margin increased from RUR 1.03 bln to RUR 1.31 bln, the income before tax – from RUR 567.260 mln to RUR 764.831 mln, the net profit – from RUR 396.372 mln to RUR 568.908 mln. The main shareholders of the company are the “OPK “Oboronprom” JSC (29.92%) and the “TFK” Ltd. (33.01%). Read more »

12 Aug 2006One and a half year ago the main Russian helicopters developer – the “Mil” Moscow Helicopter Plant (MMHP) – was headed by a new director. At the extraordinary meeting of shareholders Mr. Andrei Shibitov was unanimously elected as General Director of the plant. Earlier Mr. Shibitov worked at the “Rostvertol”, a plant producing combat and heavy transport Mi-helicopters. During 15 years of work at the “Rostvertol” Andrei Shibitov rose from the rank of an ordinary design engineer to Deputy General Director on marketing and export. Read more »
