Entering new markets

Russian Helicopters is one of the world’s leading makers of helicopters. More than 8,000 Soviet or Russian-made helicopters are now in service in 110 countries. Traditionally, the biggest markets for Russian helicopters are the Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific, Latin America, Russia and the CIS countries.

  • One of the company’s top priorities is to enter new markets by upgrading its most popular medium and heavy helicopter series and diversifying its product range by increasing the number of light helicopter models on offer (including the Mi-34S1, ANSAT, and others).
  • The Ka-32A11BC has earned itself an excellent reputation as a firefighting helicopter. It has become one of the first Russian helicopters to obtain the EASA certificate, which has enabled the company substantially to increase its sales in the traditional as well as new markets.
