Growth of domestic demand

One of the positive outcomes of the decision to set up the integrated Russian Helicopters group has been the rising domestic demand for helicopters.Helicopters are now being procured by Russian ministries and agencies (the Federal Security Service, the Moscow branch of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Emergency Situations), airline companies (GazpromAvia, UTair), and large Russian companies.

In 2010 according to the contract Russian Helicopters Company supplied 40 Mi-8/17 helicopters to UTair air company. This contract is one of the largest by the number of helicopters being delivered to a Russian commercial operator

The Russian MoD plans to buy more than 1,000 helicopters for the Russian Air Force by 2020, including the Mi-28N Night Hunter and the Ka-52 Alligator.
